Livi is 5!
Happy Birthday Livi! This little girl is such an angel. She was blessed with the sweetest heart. She is responsible, a great helper, an amazing big sister, patient, and loving. She also lives up to her ginger heritage and is so stubborn some times, but we love her to pieces. She says the sweetest heartfelt prayers. Livi loves to play barbies, shopkins, babies, and draw pictures and make notes. She leaves little love notes all over the house, everyday. She is taking ballet and loving it. She can not wait to go to kindergarten and ride the bus with Avery and Andrew. She is going to the Apex Baptist Preschool twice a week. Her teachers have fallen in love with her and say she is doing great. She is teaching herself how to read and play the piano. She has a great memory and retells stories with all the details. She LOVES to play SPOT IT and War. We love our Livi!!
Two wheels!
Livi had been asking us to teach her how to ride with out training wheels for about a month. With the move, me being 8 months pregnant and Andy working crazy hours at the new office, we couldn't seem to make it happen. So, she decided to teach herself (this is actually a common theme with this little girl. She has taught herself to read and play the piano too). She went out front got on her bike, fell a few time, got back up and before you knew it she was riding her bike! She has such a determined little soul. I love it! Way to go Alivia!!
1 year old in Germany
Sweet little Noah turned 1! It went by so fast. He has brought so much joy to our family, we are all truly smitten. He can't walk yet, but is a super fast crawler. He loves to wave bye bye, play peek a boo, he is a great sleeper (my best by far), loves to read books, and play outtside. He loves bananas, chicken nuggets, grapes, and yogurt. He gets into everything and makes big messes. He has 6 teeth, weighs 20 pounds and his head is in the 95 percentile :)
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Santa came to visit
I was feeling crafty and made this sign to add to my Christmas decorations. It was a little time consuming, but I had fun creating and love the way it turned out!!
Christmas eve jammies!!
Looks like Santa came! The kids must have been good because the stockings are filled! :)
Family Favorites
For me, the holidays must be filled with lots of yummy traditional comfort foods. There are a few must haves from my childhood like Grandma Isaksen's cinnamon and orange rolls with wassail on Christmas eve. As well as some new ones like Cranberry Salsa for thanksgiving and new years. We can't live without them!

Half a year
I can't believe Noah is 6 months already. The time has flown by, and yet it feels like he has always been a part of our family. He melts my heart. He is kind of a stinker, but you just take one look at him and all your frustrations fade away. He has the sweetest smile and disposition. I love my little man so much!! At six months he has mastered the army crawl, gotten his first tooth, tried a few foods, learned to clap, still can't sit up very well, hardly ever sleeps (likes to cat nap), loves to play, grunts all the time, is SO ticklish, lights up when he sees his siblings, and loves his momma.
at 4 months he loves to chew on his tongue and stick his whole fist in his mouth. He has started to scoot around and loves to roll all over the place.

Last day of school
When Noah's passport unexpectedly came in the mail a month early, I didn't even think twice about flying back home for the summer by myself with all 4 kids. It had been 2 years since I stepped foot in the states, and I was itching to go. Looking back, I still can't believe I did it. It was a CRAZY journey to say the least! We took a hopper flight to New Jersey, I rented a car and drove 2 hours to the Philadelphia Aiport, and then took another flight into vegas. It was a long hard trip, but so worth. it. We had a blast in Utah. But, catching the hopper flight meant that the kids had to finish up their school year a little early. It was so bittersweet to say goodbye to Lakenheath Primary School. We had such an amazing experience at that school. The kids made some good friends and learned a lot.
