Indoor Soccer

Drew played indoor soccer this fall and did such an awesome job! I was a little worried because during Spring soccer all he did was pull his arms in his long sleeved jersey and make the sleeves twist back and forth around him (often using them as weapons to chase his sister around the field and hit her with them). But he was focused and determined this season. He even scored a few goals!! He has decided that he wants to be a soccer player in the olympics some day. :)

Blake and Steve did such a great job coaching the kids

Germany!!

We were so excited to have Grandma Cindi and Great Grandma Squires come and spend a week with us. We decided to take them to Germany for a little sight seeing. We picked them up at the airport and headed straight for Dover Castle. Then we got on the ChunnelWe drove through France, Belgium, and Germany and finally arrived at Spangdalhem air force base. They have really nice accommodations for way cheap! It was great! We spent the week wondering around Germany and Luxembourg. It was beautiful and we had a great time! I thought the food was delicious too! Germany has the best salads. :) I just wish I had taken more pictures, but I was still suffering from morning sickness and not motivated to do much of anything. We have lots of good memories though!

Heading up to Dover Castle

Exploring Inside

Looking over the white cliffs of Dover into France

The Great tower

we spent a day in Luxembourgh and went to visit the American Cemetary and Memorial. The city of Luxembourg served as headquarters for Gen. George S. Patton's U.S. Third Army. General and hundreds of soldiers were buried here after WWII. It was a very peaceful cemetery, a beautiful monument erected in honor of those who fought for freedom!
One thing we learned there is that it is a Jewish tradition to place a white pebble on the top of the tombstone to show your respect. A nice gentleman gave the kids a few pebbles. Here is Livi placing her pebble.

The Toy museum

The hillsides were covered with grape vineyards. It was Gorgeous!

first day of school

The kids started school at Lakenheath Community Primary School. Avery started Year 3 (second grade) and Drew started Year 1 (Kindergarten). They are getting so big!

Avery's teacher is Mrs. Johnnson and she is in the koala class which is a mix of year 3 and year 4 kids

Andrew's teacher are Mrs. Secor and Mrs. Fancy. He is in the Owl class this year

Drew lost his first tooth

Drew lost his first tooth!! It is so fun to see kids different personalities. Avery constantly checks to see if she has any wiggly teeth. She will wiggle and wiggle them until they come out. Drew on the other hand is totally nonchalant about it. His friend Broden lost 2 teeth, and we were curious to see if Drew had any wiggly teeth. So we checked, and his 2 bottom teeth were totally wiggly! He didn't play with them at all and they both fell out with in a few days of each other.

BFFs Avery and Remi wanted a picture too

A little Get Away

We needed some serious Sunshine after a really gloomy and rainy year in England, so we headed to the beaches in Lloret, Spain for a little R and R. We rented an awesome house with the Jones' and had such a blast. It was a great vacation. No sight seeing or schedules. Just relaxing in the sunshine!! It was so nice to feel those warm rays again!!!

The house had a pool which was SO nice. The kids would wake up and swim for a few hours while we got ready for the day. Then we would head to the beach and come home and spend a few more hours in the pool. Jumping off the edges was of course their favorite past time.

Avery and Remi loved to drink juice out of these "fancy" cups. They felt so grown up! They sunbathed and sipped on their juice every day. Cheers! :)

Lazy days at the beach. I had to point my camera carefully while taking pictures to make sure we did not get any unwanted topless shots. HAHA

One of the beaches we went to had a cool castle you could hike up to.

Hiking to the top!

Some cool views along the way up

This tree was growing off the edge of the cliffs

Half way to the top there was a stage  in the castle that the city performs plays on. The kids had a great time putting on a show for us and posing for a few pictures!
