A little Get Away

We needed some serious Sunshine after a really gloomy and rainy year in England, so we headed to the beaches in Lloret, Spain for a little R and R. We rented an awesome house with the Jones' and had such a blast. It was a great vacation. No sight seeing or schedules. Just relaxing in the sunshine!! It was so nice to feel those warm rays again!!!

The house had a pool which was SO nice. The kids would wake up and swim for a few hours while we got ready for the day. Then we would head to the beach and come home and spend a few more hours in the pool. Jumping off the edges was of course their favorite past time.

Avery and Remi loved to drink juice out of these "fancy" cups. They felt so grown up! They sunbathed and sipped on their juice every day. Cheers! :)

Lazy days at the beach. I had to point my camera carefully while taking pictures to make sure we did not get any unwanted topless shots. HAHA

One of the beaches we went to had a cool castle you could hike up to.

Hiking to the top!

Some cool views along the way up

This tree was growing off the edge of the cliffs

Half way to the top there was a stage  in the castle that the city performs plays on. The kids had a great time putting on a show for us and posing for a few pictures!

My little Poser

I was setting up for a photoshoot and Livi wanted in on the action, as usual. This girl LOVES to have her picture taken!

Livi's Broken arm

Last week Livi fell off of the trampoline. :( I didn't see what happened, but she was crying pretty hard when it happened and just wanted to be held. Then she fell asleep in my arms and took a 3 hour nap. When she woke up she was still sad and guarding her arm so I made an appointment with the pediatrician to get it checked out. At the appointment the the doctor pushed on her arm pretty hard and moved it all around. Livi did not even flinch. Totally Stoic.  She is so funny around other people. She will not talk, smile, or show any emotion. If you don't know her well, you would never guess that at home she is full of life and has a fun bubbly personality. Anyways, so I tried to tell the doctor that she would do everything in her power to not show that it hurt. But he was convinced that it was just a bad bruise and that she would be using her arm again in a few days. Well, a few days passed and she was still guarding it. I had a feeling it was broken, but wanted to trust he doctor's opinion. On Sunday she fell on it again and whimpered the saddest little whimper and went totally pale and clammy. That is when I knew it was time to get it x-rayed. So, I took her to the ER. The ER doctor moved her arm all around and pushed on it, and again she was totally stoic. The Doctor again was convinced it was not broken because he couldn't believe that she could endure such pain with no emotion. But, he was nice enough to oblige me with the x-ray. He was totally shocked when he saw it was broken. He was amazed by her pain tolerance. She is one tough cookie! She got her cast on today and loves it. I think she feels more secure with it on.
She wanted to model it so we could show daddy (who is currently in the Azores) her cool new cast.
And of course it had to be PINK!

Love this little girl so much. She is seriously such an angel. I always say that she is like Mary Poppins-practically perfect in every way! :)

The Queen's Diamond Jublilee

We were lucky enough to be in England to help celebrate a historic event. Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 60th anniversary as the Queen of England. This country is very proud of its royalty. There was a week long celebration, the Diamond Jubilee. We went to London the week before the celebration and got to see them setting up for the event. We also went to the tower of London and saw all the crown jewels which Avery thought was pretty amazing (I rather enjoyed it too).

The kids also had a huge celebration at school and they all got to dress up like Kings and Queens.
Here is the Royal Ingersoll family :)

Princess Livi

Princess Avery

Avery has been a little camera shy these days, so when she asked me to take a picture of her and Emily, I was so excited! One picture was all I got, but one is better than none! I can't believe how big Avery is getting. I still love those BIG blue eyes of hers!
